Hospital Cyberjaya is a hospital located in Cyberjaya, Selangor, Malaysia. The hospital is still in the construction stage and almost completed as of December 2020. The cost of the hospital is said to be about RM 475 million.
As of December 2021, the hospital has not been opened yet. Residents of Cyberjaya are advised to address their healthcare needs at the nearby Hospital Putrajaya or Hospital Serdang. Hospital Serdang is also located at Sepang District while Hospital Putrajaya is on another district.
As of now, the option for Cyberjaya residents to seek treatment at a government hospital is only Hospital Banting, Hospital Serdang and Hospital Putrajaya.
While Hospital Putrajaya seems to be the nearest one, keep in mind that it is located at a different state, the Putrajaya Federal Territory. With the recently imposed Movement Control Order, Cyberjaya residents are having hard time to reach Hospital Putrajaya. Besides, for expectant mothers in Cyberjaya, they are not able to seek medical attention at any of the Klinik Kesihatan in Putrajaya as Putrajaya is a different state.
Therefore, the nearest Klinik Kesihatan for those who are staying in Cyberjaya is Klinik Kesihatan Dengkil, which is very much ill-equipped to handle the huge number of residents (and future ones) from Cyberjaya.
Hospital Cyberjaya Location
The hospital is located at the northwest corner of Persiaran Multimedia and Persiaran Sepang. Persiaran Multimedia is the main street of the Cyberjaya, which spans across Cyberjaya from East to West.
Coordinates: 2.920995, 101.632407
Address: Persiaran Multimedia, 63000 Cyberjaya, Selangor, Malaysia.
Services at Hospital Cyberjaya
Since the hospital has not been opened yet, expectant mothers are required to undergo their regular maternity check-ups at Klinik Kesihatan Dengkil instead. Besides, there is no indication on whether a local Klinik Kesihatan will be opened here.
Among the notable features of this hospital includes 288 beds, GBI platinum certified building, 12.8 acres, energy management system, 10 storeys main block, solar energy and rainwater harvesting, UVGI AHU system, multilevel carpark, staff quarters, nurses hostel, visitor hall, herb garden, green vehicle priority and CO2 monitoring system.
The hospital costs about RM 475 million. It is also listed as one of the projects by Cyberview.
As of December 2021, the hospital is still not opened to the public yet. According to the government sources, the main reason is because the government does not have sufficient fund to supply adequate manpower to the hospital. The latest statement from them also stated that the government is considering to open the hospital for private medical companies.
The move has brought tremendous negative reaction from the public, mainly Cyberjaya residents. The fact that a public hospital is supposed to be opened in Cyberjaya is already one of the attraction factor of people to reside in Cyberjaya.
