So you have just realised that you were scammed? Here are the few things you need to do. The information that we compile in our financial scam victim guide may not be exhaustive, so you are encourage to look for additional information elsewhere as well.

Step 1: Contact financial service provider

National Scam Response Centre Hotline (8am-8pm daily)

This hotline is intended for you to call in the event of emergencies requiring urgent attention. For example, if you have just made a large sum of transfer to a suspicious account, then you can call this number. Then, the authorities will try to block or reverse the transaction, especially when it has just happened or has not been posted yet.

Step 2: File a Police Report

The scammer probably has some of your personal information. In this situation, you have to safeguard yourself in case if they misuse the information.
