The pizza is boat-shaped and it has a variety of cheese mixed together with two eggs. We had this as a take-away and the cheese has already set. Therefore, for best pizza experience, we would recommend you to consume it as soon as possible.

Well, the eggs look like a great addition to the pizza. It is unknown whether the eggs can really enhance the taste or it acts as a filler to make the filling appear more full.

KFC Menu – Golden Butter Cereal Chicken

Just about a month in 2021, KFC has introduced a new limited-time-offer menu, the Golden Butter Cereal Chicken.

We tried to purchase a combo from KFC Cyberjaya and we found out that they are quite generous in giving the butter cereal.

You cannot order this chicken as a la carte. Instead, you will need to order it as a part of combo. The price is just slightly more expensive than your regular Snack Plate or Dinner Plate.

The butter chicken is quite delicious. Not too spicy, suitable for those who are not into spicy food. Nevertheless, you still can feel the spiciness.

It looks like they do not have an official website. A quick search revealed a Facebook page, believed to be owned by the restaurant. Check out the link here.

Risk profile of PNB118 Tower as Part of Warisan Merdeka Development Plan

To assess investment performance, we can look at the annual report of our investment (ASB investors can refer to ASB annual report). As a concerned investor, we can always carry out in-depth study of the project background as well as its risk profile. Since our investment with PNB is easy to liquidate, if we don’t trust PNB anymore in investing our money, there are other investment options for us to use.

Investing in high-risk business may expose them to bigger potential of losing their wealth. Therefore, in order to keep their investors from investing somewhere else, they need to keep on investing in low risk sectors while maximizing profit.

A little bit of background regarding the 14.5ha land purchase (location of Stadium Merdeka and Stadium Negara):

16 years ago, PNB paid RM 220 per sqft to Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Bhd. 10 years later, the market value of the land has appreciated to RM 800 per sqft (source: http://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2010/10/23/warisan-merdeka–a-beacon-to-pnbs-future/). I think they already made some profit there.

Instead of cashing in the profit, they decided to grow it by doing more development to surrouding land while preserving heritage value of those two buildings mentioned before.

The project is handled by PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn Bhd, a company wholly-owned by PNB. As a concerned citizen (and investor), there are many opportunities for us to voice out our concerns and learn more about the project so that opportunists won’t be able to take advantage of our ignorance.

  • COVID-19: Fighting Rumours with Facts

    COVID-19: Fighting Rumours with Facts

Since early 2020, Malaysians have been talking about Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) all over social platforms including social media and social messaging. Earlier today on 19 March 2020, one fake news even suggested that military helicopters will be involved in “disinfecting” the country from COVID-19. If helicopters are being used, one should wonder how many of it is required to spray whole Kuala Lumpur area (and subsequently, whole country). It is simply technically impossible to carry out such thing (read: that is a fake news).

Every day, the authorities have to spend their time answering questions from the citizens or even journalists about some fake news items being spread throughout the social platforms. Malaysian Commission of Multimedia and Communication (MCMC) has also set up a dedicated website to combat fake news (sebenarnya.my). The website is updated regularly, even during crisis times such as during the Movement Control Order (MCO). However, many of the news outlets are not highlighting the website as a trustworthy medium to verify the authenticity of fake news circulating around us.

The occurence of COVID-19 outbreak this year has brought many new thing to us. For example, the National Security Council (Majlis Keselamatan Negara – MKN) has published a list of social media / messaging platforms that the citizens can refer to in order to get latest information.

Ministry of Health (MOH) has also being careful with the amount of information that they release to the public. In an apparent compliance with Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010, MOH has never release any personally-identifiable information regarding its patients. Indeed, the collective responsibility carried out by MOH employees to safeguard patients’ information is something that everyone should applaud.

A fake FAQ list has also prompted the actual one to come out. The fake FAQ has been circulating around since 18 March 2020 while the authentic one was published only on 19 March 2020. Due to tremendous amount of queries received from the public, it prompts the government to come up with an actual one. The fake one looks totally legitimate though.

    What is Co-located CIQ Facilities?

Co-located CIQ facilities is an arrangement of Customs, Immigration and Quarantine facilities made in such a way that the travelling experience can be better for the users.

For example, in the upcoming KL – Singapore High Speed Rail (KL-SG HSR) project, travellers can expect to clear customs and immigration for both countries (Malaysia and Singapore) at their departure station. This will enable seamless travel experience as travellers can disembark from their train without further customs and immigration check at the destination station.

  • [ Review ] Pascasejarah by Fahd Razy

[ Review ] Pascasejarah by Fahd Razy

Pascasejarah is a Malay-language fiction book written by Fahd Razy, a young author based in Terengganu, Malaysia.

    Pascasejarah: the book

I managed to finish the book in just several days because it is quite easy to read. Nevertheless, the selection of words and phrases in the book almost always leaves me in awe while reading it.

The setting of the book is some time in the future. Alternate forms of civilization are forming in place of ruins left by today’s civilization. Through the setting, Pascasejarah brings you to a journey through an era in the future. The book comes with a premise that history always repeats itself. There are plot twists in almost every chapter. At the end of each chapter, I silently wished that the chapters can be longer with more details about the plot twist. Maybe the omission of detail is deliberate so that we can think of the additional details by our own.

Pro (or not so pro) tip: If you want to go through the book at your own time, I would recommend you to read the book chapter by chapter. This is because the chapters are sorted in a loose chronology. Besides, the book also appears to be some form of hybrid between a full-fledged novel and a collection of short stories.

    Pascasejarah: the author

A doctor by profession, Fahd Razy has introduced himself before through various writings about life as a doctor. He was also actively involved in Grup Karyawan Luar Negara (GKLN), a small group of writer community among Malaysian students overseas.
