Late 2020, Cyberview introduced “Cyberjaya’s New Masterplan” to the public. The idea is to turn the city into the nucleus of Malaysia’s Multimedia Super Corridor.
Cyberjaya Implementation Council held a meeting recently and it was chaired by the Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali. He is also the chairman of Cyberview.
Under the new master plan, Cyberjaya is divided into 4 distinct zones: West Cyberjaya, which focuses on nurturing talent; North Cyberjaya, the business district; South Cyberjaya, which focuses on innovation and R&D; and Downtown Cyberjaya, the retail and commercial area
This zone focuses on education, hence the approach on nurturing talent. This area is largely still under development. Multimedia University, Sekolah Kebangsaan Cyberjaya, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Cyberjaya and Korean International School of Malaysia are among the education institution located here.
North Cyberjaya is designated to be a global business district that utilises smart city technology. There will be two MRT stations located in the area, namely North Cyberjaya MRT Station and Cyberjaya City Centre MRT Station.
This area focuses on R&D and innovation. Al Hijrah TV Studio and Aerodyne Group are located here. Besides, MAGiC is also located here.
Downtown Cyberjaya is a vibrant space offering various commercial and community activities. MDec, MIGHT and MARii are among the government agencies located here.
